INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES - 3 Day Course

DESIGNED FOR

Anyone who needs to instruct practical skills to small groups. A 5 day version of the course is also available for anyone who wishes to deliver courses which combine practical and classroom skills or be able to deliver Lantra Awards Courses.

CONTENT

  • Planning the content; Writing training objectives, analysing skills and preparing Instruction Plans
  • Delivering Training - Preparation and practice leading to a more confident performance
  • Managing Trainee practice time; planning, organisation and motivation of trainees to ensure they get the maximum benefit from the session
  • Style: the use of questions in involving trainees
  • Error correction: using trainees errors to maximise the learning
  • Learning Styles: self evaluation, and appreciation of other styles
  • Opening and closing a training session

Delegates will be asked to instruct 2 other members of the group in 2 skills, each session lasting approximately 15 minutes
